Test Certificates

The QUALITY of a product is the fitness of that product meeting its intended use as required by the customer.

GRP Industries follows a longstanding commitment to quality.  We follow a strict quality control policy that adheres to the Quality Assurance ISO 9001: 2008 standard.  Our raw materials and products are tested by our Quality Control department in our testing laboratory for conformance to requirements and specifications.  In addition, GRP Industries is committed to a practice of having our products tested by independent testing centers to ensure they are meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations at a cost that represents value.

The following is a list of tests and certificates that are available upon request.

Internal Product Test: Our Quality Control department tests our finished products for dimensions, thickness, weight, finishing, barcol hardness, tensile & flexural strength, and waterproofing. These test reports are provided with our products.

Weathering Test Report: Bodycote Materials Testing tested our glass reinforced polyester sample for a duration of 1000 hours of UV exposure. Our sample passed the test with no cracking, chalking or blistering observed. The accelerated weather test was as per ASTM G154 and was roughly equivalent to a service of 20 -25 years in the hard weather conditions prevalent in the Middle East.

UV Stability of Norpol NGA Gelcoat: Our gelcoat supplier, Reichhold, certifies that Norpol NGA Gelcoat is UV stabilized and weather resistant. This provides better protection against de-coloration, extra color stability, durable shine, long retention of surface gloss and outstanding resistance to ageing and yellowing effects.

BS 476:Part7:1997 Class 2 Fire Test: Bodycote warringtonfire conducted fire tests on our products in accordance with the British Standard BS 476/Part7:1997. This standard specifies a method of test for measuring the lateral spread of flame along the surface of a specimen of a product oriented in the vertical position, and a classification system based on the rate and extent of flame spread. Our products exhibited a maximum distance of 60 mm travelled by the flame in 1.5 minutes.

QA & QC Documents: Our internal quality documents adhere to the Quality Assurance ISO 9001:2008 standard and are available for review by our clients.

Laminate Test Report for Mechanical Properties: Reichhold has tested the mechanical properties of our laminate and the results can be provided to our clients.  The mechanical properties tested for were glass content, tensile strength, elongation, tensile modulus, compressive strength, compressive modulus, flexural strength, flexural modulus and OI-Index.

IP Rating Test Reports: GRP Industries’ product range consists of electrical enclosures and kiosks with an IP Rating of IP 55 / 65 /66. IP rating outlines an international classification system for the sealing effectiveness of enclosures of electrical equipment against the intrusion into the equipment of foreign bodies (i.e. tools, dust, fingers) and moisture. BSI Testing in the United Kingdom tests our products for meeting their respective IP Rating and these certificates are available for review by our clients.

Raw Material & Accessories Specifications: GRP Industries believes in utilizing the highest grade of raw materials to be used in its manufacturing process. We procure our resins, gelcoat, glass fiber, locks and accessories from quality driven suppliers. Specifications reports with all details can be provided to our clients for our raw materials and accessories.
